Please don't use Teflon tape or sealing glue for safaty valves
Every now and then we see allegedly leaking safety valves (type KSV or ÜSV), which on closer inspection turn out to be dirty. Sometimes they were mounted with the help of Teflon tape or a sealant was used. Especially with safety valves, cleanliness in the system is of particular importance. Since safety valves are often located at the end of a line, the line unfortunately does not flow through and the refrigerant does not pass through the filter drier. The seal in the valve is set precisely to a certain opening pressure and dirt that is pressed into the valve, e.g. when the system is started up or during pressure tests, can already lead to leaks. Of course, this also applies to sealing tapes, hemp or glue. For a clean connection, the copper washer supplied with the valve and, of course, a suitable connecting nipple are sufficient.
